The French Artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot has created a unique band made up of 40 zebra finches jamming on electric guitars and other musical instruments. This funky flock will be showcasing at the Barbican, London until 23rd May 2010.
The exhibition is based on the use of rhythms of daily life to produce sound in unexpected ways. The concept: As the birds go about their routine activities, perching on or feeding from the various pieces of equipment, they create a captivating and unique soundscape.
Do not wait any longer to live this unique auditory and visual experience!

out and about; london; culture; east; asia; festival
East Festival celebrates the uniquely rich creative mix of East London. It runs during from Thursday 4 March to Tuesday 9 March, with more than 100 events showcasing world-class artists, exciting spaces, walks, tours and some quirky participation opportunities too.
The East Festival explores themes relevant to the area, and this year's festival looks at Architecture, the Asian Sub Continent, Travel and Minimalism.
Partners of the project include The Barbican, Rich Mix and White Chapel Gallery, who are all offering their space.
My favorite for the moment the fascinating photography exhibition at London's Whitechapel Gallery: "Where Three Dreams Cross".
